MYQER EDU launches to bring Emergency Information Access into education

MYQER EDU, Empowering Every Child, Supporting Every School

MYQER EDU has officially launched, extending MYQER’s Emergency Information Access platform into education.

Built around a simple principle, important emergency information should be accessible when a person cannot explain it themselves, MYQER EDU gives schools and education communities a practical way to support Emergency Information Access while keeping the individual at the centre.

MYQER can support people with allergies and reactions, medications, health conditions, implants or devices, communication needs, emergency contacts, care preferences and other important information they choose to include.

Emergency information remains personal to the individual. Schools do not need access to a person’s private emergency information in order to support MYQER.

Instead, MYQER EDU provides the infrastructure around Emergency Information Access, including organisation onboarding, individual access, emergency readiness and card issuance, while maintaining a clear privacy boundary between the organisation and the person’s emergency information.

MYQER is designed to work online and offline, requires no app for the person helping, and supports access across multiple languages.

For individuals, MYQER remains free.

MYQER EDU has been created to support a simple goal: empowering every child and supporting every school, without turning personal emergency information into another institutional record.

MYQER founder Anita Boros said:

“MYQER started with one child, my daughter. But the problem was never unique to her. Children cannot always explain their allergies, conditions, medication, communication needs or what an adult needs to know in an emergency.

MYQER EDU takes the same principle MYQER was built around and brings it into education. The school does not need to own somebody’s emergency information. It needs a safe and practical way to support access when that information is needed.”
