Founder Recognition

Anita Boros named among the first Pioneers100 impact leaders

Announced by Pioneers Post: External recognition
Anita Boros, founder of MYQER

MYQER founder Anita Boros has been named among the first Pioneers100, a new national list recognising 100 founders and CEOs driving positive change across the UK.

The Pioneers100 was launched by Pioneers Post as part of the NatWest SE100 Impact Pioneer programme, delivered in partnership with NatWest Social & Community Capital. Unlike the SE100 Index, which recognises social ventures, the Pioneers100 focuses on the people behind them: founders and leaders who have chosen to tackle a problem and build something in response.

For Anita, that description feels particularly close to the story behind MYQER.

Before there was a platform, an organisation dashboard or an Emergency Card, there was simply a mum trying to make sense of what had happened to her daughter.

When Anita’s young daughter suffered a severe allergic reaction, the immediate emergency was treated in hospital. But afterwards came a different kind of question.

What happens next time?

What happens if a parent is not there?

What happens if the person trying to help does not know about the allergy, the medication, the reaction or who to call?

That question became the beginning of MYQER, My Quick Emergency Response, pronounced “my care”.

MYQER was built around a simple idea: important emergency information can exist and still be inaccessible at the moment somebody needs it.

The platform allows individuals to create an Emergency Access Profile containing information they choose to make available in an emergency, including allergies and reactions, medications, conditions, emergency contacts, communication needs, care preferences and other important information.

It supports both Online Emergency Access and Offline Emergency Access, helping that information remain available quickly and without requiring the person helping to have a MYQER account.

Being included in the first Pioneers100 is therefore a recognition not only of MYQER as a growing platform, but of the founder journey behind it.

Anita has built MYQER while balancing the realities familiar to many founder parents: caring for a family, learning unfamiliar technical territory, making product and privacy decisions, building infrastructure, and continuing to return to the same question that started it all.

How can we make important information easier to reach when someone cannot explain it themselves?

Pioneers Post describes the Pioneers100 as a celebration of leaders who have made a decision to change something, solve an issue or support people who may otherwise be left behind, and who have spent the past year turning that commitment into action.

To be included in the very first list, alongside leaders from social enterprise, impact investment and mission driven organisations across the UK, is a meaningful milestone.

For Anita, it is also a reminder of how far one question asked by a worried mum can travel.

The work continues.
